I followed the rules of straight 8 filmography to make this. I could only edit on camera, so i had to film everything in order of the script. The only thing i did add was a blurry filter to make it seem like it was filmed on a roll of super8. I then separately recorded the voiceover, keeping the first attempt and no editing in that either. Then I put them together and hoped for the best.
The film is essentially a remix of a film i have made previously (link above). The previous film followed the script being read here, but did not include it, so i decided to add the voice over in response to Nick Scott’s film ‘Earth to Earth’.

Cities was developed through manipulated photographs using photoshop, the images there then imported into Director to create an animation before being imported into final cut to place the multiples side by side.
The photographs used document my movements through Leeds City Centre on a morning and a evening, the pace of the video changes this represents my changing in pace as i move through the centre.
