Great pacing, the applying of make up even in the first half is strangley hypnotic to watch. This is surely exactly how Frida Kahlo must have got ready each morning.
What i love about this piece is how the audience views the piece through a reflection – it gives the piece a really nice twist and frames the subject. The way she manages to keep a straight face makes it look as though she does it everyday! genious!
that is well crazy! i completely didnt know what was going to happen until the end. i was like why mexicano? lol. very original. the camera shot at the beginning is like ‘peeping tom’, kind of a side shot, like you are looking threw a crack of some sort.
This film is very interesting, it follows nicely, there’s no points in the film where the viewer would get bored. Using a mirror has also work out better than just simply filming her because there are points in the film where her arm covers her reflection and then when the uno-brow is revealed it’s the last thing one would expect.
