Ah, love this – it’s always sad to me how lost balloons can go so unnoticed and so unloved. There’s currently a mylar balloon caught in my neighbor’s tree, been there for a couple days. I want to rescue it but it’s too high…
I love how its almost a frame within a frame! How you’re almost looking past all these people to something else that they cannot see.
Indeed, it’s telling of the apathetic city in general that all these people are merely walking past the balloon, completely indifferent. The one bit of quirky out-of-the-ordinariness in their day, a bit of colour that might inspire them to smile or think for a second.. and they’re all ignoring it!
